Unikitty is close to my heart. I really loved the scene in The Lego Movie where she pretends to be a business professional. The cosplay gave me an excuse to wear a suit! One that I fully intend to re-purpose for actual business wear :3
Cosplay construction details:
SUIT - dyed pink, sewed stripes to sleeve and skirt. Used adhesive vinyl decals for funky symbols (@ # etc) on shoulders and waist. I wanted something temporary so that the suit could be repurposed for actual business wear.
SHOES - beige 3 inch heels I already own
EARS - fuzzy pink fabric. I'm not thrilled with how these turned out. I couldn't find a way to make "boxy" ears the way that she has in the movie without them looking strange (because my head is round and Unikitty's is flat on top)
HORN - carved, sanded, and painted. I would use craft foam next time instead. This piece was heavy, so I had to use a toothed headband to keep it on my head (otherwise it would slide around)
TAIL - purchased from Etsy user FishPishStudios; design is a variant on the My Little Pony Equestria Girls school pride outfit
ACCESSORIES - bought 1950's style lime scarf from Amazon; inherited old pair of glasses from a co-worker.
